Thanks to Mr. Indong for the great reminder from the apostle Paul.

Resolving to do the right thing in life is a good way to start a new day or a new year. As we begin the year 2010, let’s resolve to forget the past and move ahead in life with zest and vigor. While remembering memories in life is a gift from God, our remembrances are sometimes counterproductive. They interfere with the positive flow of our spiritual, psychological and emotional life. Let’s learn and remember to forget and move forward.

It’s easy to say, but it’s hard to forget. To help us forget the reminiscences of failures, disappointments and mistakes that continue to bother us, let’s change our focus: forget the past and concentrate on a brighter future. Forgetting does not mean completely blotting out from memory events of the past; it’s just seeing to it that they don’t pester us anymore. They simply serve as reminders of our mistakes or the mistakes of others done to us. They have their rightful place as lessons to improve life.

The ability to forget is enhanced by a resolution to major on positive and helpful ventures. Instead on focusing on unpleasant past, let’s look upward and focus on God.
