Manay Gina de Venecia is gunning for the 4th district of Pangasinan. She started early campaigning in blatant violation of election laws in every twist and turns.
The De Venecias are petrified politicians being that ex-speaker Joe de Venecia is a protégée of Marcos during that corrupt regime. It’s been too long, this is their fruitful moment to enjoy their loot (unpaid Landoil $168 million world bank loan guaranteed by Marcos) and quit politics.
Rumors had it at the Kapihan of Carael, the de Venecias travel to Europe ostensibly to collect interest from their Swiss Bank account. Well, politics sucks, they all run for public office with specific mindset to plunder the nation’s wealth.
My only sympathy to the De Venecias is the untimely death of their young and beautiful daughter KC when their palatial house in Makati was burned down to the ground. That was their fatal mistake. They could have hired a professional electrician to wire their Christmas light decorations interlocked with properly sized circuit breakers and wires, timers and interrupters.
Or, since they have the means, their house could have been provided with automatic fire sprinklers complete with smoke and heat detectors or their alarm wired thru their telephone line to the nearest fire station.
I pray that the people of the 4th district of Pangasinan will not be scammed again.
