Re: Best of both worlds

So, tell me Mr. Rayos – what kind of destiny was crafted by MLQ for the betterment of the Filipino, or the Pinoy?

Of patriotism? Of nationalism? Are you kidding the Forum?

Or, might I say; the mindboggling malfeasance and incompetence making Pinoyland, one of the top ten most corrupted nations in the world . . . destroying the body politik, the body and soul of the Filipino.

I wouldn’t have to tell everybody in this forum where the Philippines is headed, since Quezon – a pure blooded Spaniard – took the country by the horns and jumped over the cliff without any recourse for political survival, for the common good.

And into this abyss the dream of becoming independent, was not a good option the Filipino can do without.

What Quezon created was a devil . . . in his own image!

Choking on the cake . . . .

Living in the US of A – best of both worlds, huh, Mr. Rayos?

Make up your mind!

You can have your cake and eat it, too?

No, you don’t! “You can’t have your cake and eat it, too”.

Well, I couldn’t fully understand your misunderstanding what this phrase meant. It means in life, it’s impossible to have both ways – to swallow the whole cow and not choke on it.

Let me explain what’s this all about. It’s all about greed, lie, regret rolled into one.

1) Used for expressing the impossibility of having something both ways i.e., you work so hard to pay for that fancy house, that you never have any time to enjoy it.

2) You have a knock-them-dead-gorgeous girlfriend others appreciate.

3) You harvested the rice. You pounded it. Cleaned it. Cooked it. Somebody eats it.
