Proud and Happy Pinoys

The typical Global Filipino living in a foreign land like the U.S. is proud and happy. Majority of Pinoys and Pinays I’ve met are still proud as Filipinos. In fact, our country and our people are foremost in their minds and hearts. They offer positive prayer, positive thought, positive talk and positive action for our Motherland.

I’ve known Filipino nurses and other professionals who work two jobs so that they can send more money to their family, relatives and community in the Philippines. OFWs remit some 13 billion dollars every year to the country. They are always thinking of how they can be of help even in some little ways to uplift the life of loved ones and the country. Others have ministries that sponsor programs and projects to help the community.

In spite of many challenges and sacrifices, Pinoys are proud and happy for what they are doing and contributing to their Motherland.
