Re: For the sake of family and love
…having done all that like acquiring another citizenship, etc. and uprooting your families from the Philippines and transplant them to the US, do you still consider yourself a proud Filipino?
Take away the nostalgia and sentimentalism…would you still be a proud ‘Pinoy? Wake up and smell the coffee.. 3 out every 5 ‘Pinoys want to leave the Philippines and migrate to US, Canada, or UK. My heart aches each time an injustice is done, every time the lowly ‘Pinoy is denied his rights, my heart bleeds each time I see a mother and a father departs from the Philippines to work abroad, my eyes well with tears when I see lonely OFW’s in foreign lands.
Why do they have to go elsewhere? Why can’t the government keep them and provide jobs to these millions of Filipinos?
Indeed, Virginia.. it is becoming harder and harder to be a proud ‘Pinoy.
