Dwell on positive about Filipinos

Why must people always dwell on the negative? The Filipino OFW’s are dispersed throughout the world so that their families can have a better life. Many have migrated to other countries for a better life for themselves and their families.
The one thing that binds us together is that we have never forgotten our Filipino heritage. We send balikbayan boxes to the Philippines so that those less fortunate can enjoy some of the fruits of our labor or remit money in times of need. What is more exciting than seeing the bright eyes of a little boy when he sees the basketball he has been given or a little girl as she hugs her new doll?
The Filipinos I have had the pleasure of being acquainted with have not forgotten their roots. Many plan to retire in their hometown or split their time, like my wife and I, between the U.S. and the Philippines.
Yes, there are many who leave the Islands then return several years later who claim to they no longer eat gulay or are unable to drink the water that they grew up drinking. Every race has its phonies. To dwell on these people is a waste of time. I prefer to spend my time thinking of the good thing I encounter during my stays in the Philippines.
May God bless everyone and all have a happy and prosperous New Year.
