Educate and Help the Poor!
Speaking of a hungry man who sells his vote, Bishop Oscar V. Cruz asked: “Condemn him? Jail him? Shoot him?”
The simple answer is NO. The Christian alternative is to educate and help him. The Church should educate the poor on moral and spiritual values as they live in a democracy.
In addition, the Church should try her best to help the poor with programs like low-interest or interest-free mini-loans to help them start a business and become self-supporting.
