I agree with you that we have a bunch of mayors in Pangasinan out of whack in their pronouncements. Like the ten mayors announcing their total support to a bakla candidate (Noy Aquino) for the presidency.
What we need for the Phil to fly is a president with the personality of a Lee Kwan Yew (Singapore) or a Park Chung Hee (South Korea). These two are incorruptible, honest, high achievers and disciplinarians. Agay laya, not in my wildest dreams, Noy Aquino a president. He produced a measly 2 unimportant senate bills in his tenure. Noy could have passed appropriation bill to fund the development of Mindanao (out of typhoon belt) as our rice granary.
Imagine, we buy rice from those we taught how to culture rice at our own IRRI in Los Banos. Import rice and the ‘cut’ under the table are big.
Or Noy could have passed appropriation bill to complete the Dau to San Fabian Urban Highway of 4 or 8 lanes traversing farmlands to attract foreign investors.
