Still no risk takers

Edwin,
I agree the beat goes on. The “ruling” families exist within our midst and reality in the US and any country in the world. When these rulers in RP finally wake up for the common good and not selfish interest will our country mature from the Wild West. The founding fathers of US risk their necks and wealth. Most of our fellow posters do not think the RP rulers would, at this point in time.
Here is a quote from Vince Lombardi; ” Individual commitment to a group effort-that is what makes a team, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.”
What we have in RP is group effort within government and society that enhances corrupt practices.
These families would not change because the status quo gives “the country a guise of progress due to the relief valves afforded by the OFWs (paraphrased from Mr. Carrera’s Posting).”
The history of our neighbor South Vietnam’s downfall shows that the ruling families failed to act or assess their risk till they fled to the US disgraced but with gold bars in tow. Did you say hi to one of this Nguyen’s in the Bay area who owns premier business companies?
So the beat goes on!
