Re: Art has no outstanding work

Yes, I see your legitimate concerns (Jose, Jess, Jeremias) to know more about Art Lomibao. He has setbacks and glitches but he’s not a random performer.

As Masons, we made a promise to control our passions and continually improve ourselves in Masonry just like those famous 16 framers of the US constitution, 16 US presidents and our top ranking Katipuneros (Bonifacio, Mabini, Aguinaldo, etc) to include Rizal.

Art will come to his senses and eventually correct his mistakes. But what do you expect from a housewife, a repeat of a dancing queen and a mediocre legislator who will sew her pockets again with silver linings.

Art started random safety checks on vehicles plying the highways. Driver’s licensing (California style) could have been one of his ambitious strategy or plans to enhance safety driving.

I know generals are not what they used to be ‘officers and gentlemen’. Like Gen Esperon (favorite son of Asingan) dubbed by Media as the dag-dag bawas general when assigned in Southern Mindanao as peacekeeper rewarded by PGMA with a cabinet position for a ‘job well done’.

Marami tayong bobo na officiales and we should get rid of them. Like Sec Esperon trumpeting his pet project to rebuild the MacArthur Highway (widening and repaving) from Dau to San Fabian. He’s bobo and his is a very expensive alternative. It’s better to build a new one to traverse farmlands away from urban areas (US highway design of 2-lane or 4-lane going and back with a concrete barrier island and rest stops every 3 hours of driving).

We need responsible legislators who can lobby and craft appropriation bills to transform Mindanao into a rice granary (not Central Luzon being on a typhoon belt), dam up rivers to impound run-off waters into lakes (Oklahoma style) during heavy rains to irrigate farm communities or craft bills to get rid of payroll padding to reward political allies and supporters (the Lingayen Board is notorious of this practice) and promote tourism.

The Hundred Islands stinks and needs refurbishing and clean up. No portable toilets and dried human feces or urine odor percolate the surrounding air. Or the undergrowth seaweeds discourage swimmers and snorkelers. Let’s elect a politician who can make Pangasinan easy for business and tourism investors to relocate. Permits and licenses should be processed promptly and not to drag on for days to drive away investors.
