Re: Art better than Gina

Mr. Ronaldo Castanaga,

You gave us a lot on Art that even an apolitical bystander could not ignore. For being a general as criteria for experience left us thinking. The experiences we read in the media were about the generals who bagged the money and laundered their loot in US, the generals who lost their rank and filed for pension funds. One general’s label does not stain other distinguished generals but you left us out on the experience we need to look at in Art.

Being a Mason could legislate out the Recto/Arroyo Vat? Wow, what power that puts our Mason icons in US dollar money to shame.

Now here’s what his power could have done as LTO chief: issue department directives to stop red tape to get driver’s license. Why does he need to be congressman first before he would do these? He has the power as LTO chief now to see it through, and make sure that it is not another way to milk the public for more grease money to obtain a driver’s license with the red tapes in multiple layers in LTO.

You said it yourself, “As an LTO chief, he can solve the slow traffic situation in Dagupan by rerouting the traffic in sectional loops to free up boulevards and main roads (Pattaya style of Thailand)”. Now, why did he not do it? Does he need to do more than just being the LTO chief like coordinating with the congressman and president for funds for the widening of the roads.

Now your last one comment is what Marcos labeled Cory with, “a mere housewife” and we saw the effects of his understatement.

General Art Lomibao may be the most competent general, and the best LTO chief, a Grandmaster, and may be the next congressman but your post here did not move us except to know you are in his camp.

Good luck in 2010!
