Gina de V and her entourage are now ready for the campaign trail on May 2010 election. Too early but they got the money.
Talking about term limits, when you’re done, you pass it on to either your siblings, wife, or favorite concubine of the same address, joint bank account and tax return. The name is still De Venecia. Is this not a loophole in the bureaucratic election in the Phil?
Politicians relish the idea of holding on to their positions of power to protect themselves from litigation if they have erred in the performance of their duties. One scenario, umutang si JDV sa world bank guaranteed by the corrupt gov’t of Marcos to the tune of 160 million dollars.
Lahat ay alam, JDV hindi na nagbayad. The monthly payments of this loan will be passed down to the taxpayers. Nakangiti lang si JDV and Gina. If you’re small potato, you will be sued as embezzler or estafador and suffer the consequences. With his clout and position, JDV can twist all the issues against him.
Now, let’s see Art Lomibao as a candidate. Being a general, he has better experience than Gina. He could be more heroic in his duties as congressman. I know, being a brother Mason, he can recall the VAT at 12% that’s killing all marginal Filipinos due to skyrocketing prices of groceries. Or he can file a bill to mandate actual driving test, eye test and traffic regulations test before issuance of a driver’s license.
As an LTO chief, he can solve the slow traffic situation in Dagupan by rerouting the traffic in sectional loops to free up boulevards and main roads (Pattaya style of Thailand).
I think Art Lomibao is a better choice vs. a housewife.
