Mr. Jun Velasco,

You really are off your rockers! In your column you mentioned Mr. Gerry Garcia’s advice – “Write the truth and true always”.

Then you write to defend Arroyo’s extravagant dinner in New York. What YOU FAIL TO UNDERSTAND is, as the president, Arroyo must be prudent in whatever she does in public. It does not matter who paid for the dinner, what matters is how the poor Filipinos view their leader. Matalusam met la ya komon, Mr. Velasco.

May I suggest you read books on leadership and compare Arroyo’s performance to effective leaders. Mind you, Arroyo could be compared to some banana republic or a corrupt African dictator. How’s that for a “Harvard educated economist”?

Gonzalo and you should stop defending Arroyo and look out for the common people.
