Relocate the jail from the impure beach at Tondaligan is the right thing to do.
But where, A. Gomez?
From the get-go the purpose of building that jail in that sorry-ass place, was the availability of a free parcel of real estate, which the city could use for a few unwanted riffraffs of society.
A huge blunder on the city’s part that was not seen by the limited vision of the corrupt mayor Benjie Lim.
But, the takeover of the Bureau of Penology took the hoosegaw by storm by being overpopulated, and thus the ongoing problem of sanitation and mismanagement.
If Gov. Espin-off has a brain and eyes on his head, he should not be talking shit . . . loose talk . . . will bring him nowhere.
What he should do is to rehabilitate and add more floors to the Provincial Jail at Lingayen! That clinker has more space to be utilized to accommodate more prisoners being a single level dilapidated structure even the rats of Lingayen won’t dare reside.
Rather than buying buses to ferry employees, traveling the world on public trough, sprucing up the capitol building – the “Malacanang Palace of the North”, so he claims, he could have paid more attention to this dilemma . . . a burr in his credibility . . . a braggadocio . . . in his tourism campaign.
Right now, Gov. Espin-off is paying more attention to that ever-present TOUPEE on his head.
