Fourth District Congressman Joe de Venecia’s negative reaction to the ‘shotguns for the barangays’ scheme could not be taken for granted although we know the two are not really in good terms.

We have yet to hear from the other congressmen but we believe some of them have their respective reservations. Some mayors were not as enthusiastic too to the arming of barangay captains.
