No dough, no brains

Mr. Ray U. Bravo:

If I am not mistaken, if my gray cells still works, this great idea of yours was discussed a few moons back concerning the walling of “Fernandez City” ala Holland.

It won’t work.

Firstly, the city doesn’t have the money and the brains to handle a gargantuan project.

An example. The Arellano Street drainage and road elevation project which City Administrator Alvin (Cheapmunk) Fernandez now admitted is for traffic flow not for flood control, is the most in mismanagement. Tell that to the people living along the route who suffered long enough in the constant flooding every time the monsoons start as promised.

Secondly, there’s not enough dough in the national coffers just to address a city plagued by corruption and ineptitude.

Thirdly, let Bangus City sink in its own filth.

Note: This city is owned by the Fernandez conglomerate. You have Alipio – the Mayor . . . Alvin, the Cheapmunk – the pro-consul, and two kagawads in the City Council. Also, an army of no-good-sleeping-on-the-job patronage workers from the Fernandez-Reyna-Llamas political machine.

Belen – the Vice Mayor, is not related to the mayor by blood. Having a Fernandez name is pure business not personal. It’s the thing to do to have a name in the right place at the right time.
