No amount of soul searching for Manay Gina de Venecia to run for a congressional seat would do. Enough already for the macho politician and controversial ex-Speaker JDV’s continuing term and have a hold-over with his wife Gina. He should retire quietly and enjoy his questionable monies he earned through the years.
At one time, JDV was the favorite and protégé of Marcos during that corrupt regime. He borrowed $168 million from the World Bank and he’s now in arrears in his payments. What a way to live!
Our friend, the late Ermin, could be squirming in his grave, to perpetuate another untried housewife, no experience Gina de Venecia to Congress. When our economy is down and people are suffering from a 12% VAT, we need legislators with bright, ambitious, honest and better ideas.
Not a housewife, please. Malas na naman tayo kung magyayari yan.
