Foreign influence in education

Mr. Robert Sobrepenia,

I agree with you the government needs to support the universities we have in the field of sciences in pursuit of research but above all, it teach them to think independently. Inventions are fine but the money makers are those that look at what sells in the market by improving what had already been created.

On your comment on foreigners’ involvement in our universities, isn’t that still the norm? Is the invisible hand still in our religious prestigious institutions?

Our history is dotted with foreign influence and involvement in our education power structure. The investor would not come if the ROI had not been analyzed. Tax free benefit is just too big benefit to pass up.
