Dear Editor:
I wish to comment on Mr. Jun Velasco’s column last week on Mayor Nani Braganza for eyeing or being eyed as a gubernatorial timber. An old pal of mine and Jun’s too, just like Governor Spines, I wish to say this.
From Alaminos City’s website alone, the progress achieved over the past six years in his city is not only apparent but real and “resounding.”
If Mayor Nani can do it to his beloved city, he can and will surely replicate these achievements on a bigger scale, the province of Pangasinan.
We’re not saying that Governor Spines has not done enough for the province since he left Congress and walked into the Provincial Capitol in Lingayen; what we’re saying is that the province and its people deserve more… and they certainly deserve a kind of leadership only Nani Braganza can deliver.
