Abraham Lincoln . . . a trapo Jun Velasco?

Abayag calan driver na jeep agmo cabat ya anggad natan ira’y pasaheros mo!

Abe was a master politician. An innovator. Look at the members of his cabinet, a mixture of republicans and democrats with varying opinions. Most of these men were against him, but Lincoln was has an eye for the horse flesh.

To preserve the union he needed everybody on his side, and he succeeded.

On his Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, he could have ordered without any ideas from anybody, but he has the genuis to consult first with Chase, Seward, and the fiery Stanton, the Secretary of War.

Which leads to the pivotal amendment Article XIII of the US Constitution in 1865.

To write anything about him . . . be very, very careful . . . you are not only walking on eggshells . . . you’re walking on rusted nails.

Well, what the Hell, you ain’t credible anyway!
