Bangus, made in Taiwan

I bought a Taiwan-grown bangus labeled and packaged as ‘Bangus’.
In all respects, the Taiwan ‘Bangus’ appeared wide- bodied chubby looking fish exactly as our real Bonuan ‘Bangus’. I cooked it with tamarind broth sinigang but the taste, to my dismay, is disgustingly different. Not even close.
I think it’s the Bonuan algae and the unique clay soil exclusive in Bonuan made the difference. Besides the Taiwan Bangus are grown in 55-gal drum mechanically fed with special diet different from a Bangus habibat environment.
