On “smiley” Percival Barba:

Was Percy Barba smiling on being amused . . . pleased . . . his eyes brightened and the corner of his mouth curved?

Is it desdain, unhappy on the situation he’s in?

Like Lou Diamond Phillips, as Chavez, in the movie Young Guns trying to smile it off his predicament, the uneasiness in a ruffled crowd.

Percival Barba should smile though his heart is aching, his principle bent, his philosophy unwanted in what he do police business.

But . . . he should do what’s expected of him, what he trained for . . . an ass kisser.

Or else, the lechon is off the table!
