Tomorrow the Academy of Science in San Francisco reopens in a newly constructed building. I am particularly excited because one of the main exhibits is a coral reef. The exhibit is 25 feet deep and the public is informed that the reef is modeled after reefs found in the Philippines.
As a person connected with the travel industry it is my hope that the Philippines will draw visitors to the much neglected tourist business and also let the world know that the Filipinos are aware and protective of the rich aquatic ecosystem that the Philippines possesses.
The management of Hundred Island is a good example of bringing in tourist and while protecting the environment. With good management, the Philippines can bring in a lot of tourist money while exhibiting the treasures of the Republic.
