Guns are useful tools for RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE. That being said, could these barangay captains be classified as such?

While I agree that arming of the barangay captains could be a deterrent to lawbreakers, considerations should be made on them before issuing them the shotguns.

Shooting a few rounds is not the only qualification. Many of these barangay captains are hotheaded and trigger happy, can’t be trusted with anything, let alone entrusting them with a deadly weapon.

I am a responsible gun owner and I know that guns are useful tools, however, there are some people who are not fit to have access to them.

Did the Spin-off think of any of these qualifications? I wonder what was going through his head.

Given the history of the people he surrounded himself with, I suspect that there could be some money (kickback) that had gone to some pockets during the purchase of these firearms.
