The Pinoy food saved me

Marifi,
It seems that you have it made with your beautiful home, servants, and home in a nice development.
Yes, your palate is the first one that will make you crave for the Filipino food. During my first few months in the USAF I was about ready to quit because I missed the adobo and pinakbet. I sometimes let meals pass because of the mash potatoes or minute rice served in the chow hall.
Just like you I quickly learned to find my waterhole and Pinoy food from those who could sniff the balut/penoy. I was saved and spent 25 years in service.
Keep up the travelogue from Mozambique so we could learn how living in a country with 70% poverty rate is. Maybe you could give us a first hand account if the RP 30% poverty rate is any better, (stat from CIA factbook). Touring a country is very different than living in it, right?
Take care and be safe.
