Give the Guv credit

Guv Spine’s exhortation of 2.7 million Pangasinenses to “Be tourists in your own province” in a gathering of local politicians was a good run but the number of potential big spenders is unrealistic.

I agree big time with Mr. Carrera on this issue. The good gum should have his communications director take a snapshot of what makes up among his wage earner circles in the provincial capitol as to who would go on vacation over the next 3-6 months, 6-12 months period and so forth.

The next step is take a survey among the Pangasinenses (locals) thru the town mayors to find out which vacation tour is their favorite destination and entertainment (tourist trap) preferences then only then can he “meekly” reveal the numbers.

This is what the business people call ‘pigeon hole’ so they could direct the proper energy and resources in a more efficient manner.

This suggestion might seem too burdensome but this is how successful corporations do it. Another peculiarity among us Filipinos is staying with relatives and if there are no relative to stay with for a few days, it is no go.

However, let us give Guv Espino the credit for trying to call on his constituents to see and stay in Pangasinan first before others.
