If I were a hypocrite, I would be tempted to denigrate Mr. Gonzalo Duque’s observation re congress upper house members’ trip to South Africa nothing more than unbridled dawdle into a one way street. But we are a democracy and I therefore must respect his insight.

I do, however, would like to ask where was Mr. Gonzalo Duque all this time? How can he chastise one group that goes on a junket but hardly a squeak from him when it is the administration that does it with regularity and huge entourage?

I think it would have been better if Mr. Duque investigated if the junketeers brought along their grand children, yayas, personal makeup artist, mistresses, spouses etc.

Then it would have proven him champion of the people not just for Empress Gloria.
