A TV clipping showed a member of Neri’s legal defense team justifying his refusal to cooperate with the senators relating to the NBN ZTE scam probe.
He stated, “Neri invoked executive privilege because it was GMA’s order”. He added, “si presidente ang nagutos so he has no choice but to follow the order of his president?”
The attitude of this lawyer and those proclaiming they respect the chain of command can only mean one thing. They have not learned from history.
One can recall, Hitler’s Nazi generals claimed they were only obeying Hitler’s orders and therefore didn’t deserve to be tried at Nuremberg. We know these generals were all hanged.
Will history repeat itself for these people who are now screwing the Filipino people using the same justification?
