What they pray for

How can anyone disagree to what Ms. Ric and Messrs. Pontaoe, Carrera and Ceralde opined re merit of meek versus might. They raised the bar to new heights. Perhaps it is time the matter is laid to rest.
Come to think of it, I’ve often wondered why Manny Pacquiao and athletes like him, need to infuse religion as they prepare to inflict harm to their opponents. Does it mean God doesn’t mind protagonist beating the heck out of each other and raises the hand of the victor?
On the other hand, we maybe judging Pacquiao unfairly. Was he praying and hoping those chasing him back home for alimony do not know how to count US$6 million? Maybe he is scared stiff thinking of the potential beating he will receive from his wife if he loses the fight, di ba?
I also wonder what their purpose is whenever I see TV footages of Malacanang cabinet members praying at the start of each meeting. I bet they pray the good people of the Philippines will continue sleeping on the wheels so they can clear out cash registers? Hoping they can come up with more ways to milk the country and able to cover it up? Perhaps they are hoping the express not over indulge in brandy so as not to jeopardize more juicy China contracts.
Go figure!
