Don’t insult OFWs

Mr. Know-It-All Pontaoe,

I admire your literary prowess that you display in this forum but to characterize an OFW and a Japayoke, misguided, is a shabby statement, and can only come from someone with a crab mentality. One must remember that most of these people had to look for jobs elsewhere because they couldn’t find jobs in their homeland. The abuse and exploitation from employers that they may encounter later on is the least of their concern. Their primordial concern, like everybody else, is to put food on the table, clothes to cover, and a roof over their loved ones’ heads – and the sooner the better.

Its human nature to want to have a decent existence for his/her loved ones, and unfortunately for most of our fellow Filipinos, this can only be achieved by working abroad. If you think you have a better idea you are most welcomed in sharing it to our less fortunate kabalayens. Otherwise, an offensive remark is the least we want to read in this forum.
