A rheumatologist might help

The posting from Concerned Pangasinense regarding osteoarthritis is a good one.

My concern though is, if the problem is really osteoarthritis.

Now, I am not familiar with medical practice both in Dubai and Dagupan. Sometimes, pain and swelling in the joints are lumped into generic ARTHRITIS.

Here is my suggestion, if it has not been done yet. Ideally, a RHEUMATOLOGIST should be consulted who can then draw a sample of the knee joint fluid and then have it analyzed with a reputable laboratory.

There are many kinds of arthritis and each one requires a specific treatment modality. Actually any doctor with experience can draw the fluid.
