Here again Mr. Pontoe, Mr Oriel landed – a memorable spot in Sunday Punch Forum
(SPF) never from the map shall blot. Leaving their steamers stranded on Punch readers, regardless whether the sailors swam or sank. Its nature’s most esteemed command.

Self – preservation – Mr. Oriel and Mr.Pontoe here did stand. Both come from Pangasinan city’s birth to plan, wiser than Solomon, when first he traced Tomeric and Baltic, cities of the waste. Both possibly ate their dinner with tremendous gust, champagne and fish, brother of stern, thus victorious did Pangasinan relieve.

 No man even made more violent efforts to gain popularity than Mr. Pontoe and Mr. Oriel, not only at the expense of the dignity of their posting, but at the sacrifice of their publicly proclaimed sentiment.

Both as wonderful posters like any other are usually made to do – on fixed principles and laws, but upon, first, the desire to conciliate all elements, second, upon caprice and intrigue, and the undermining of other wonderful readers who have tasted the ‘carousals’ of coffee, bread and lectures.

A Christmas prayer – Father of mankind, as Christmas comes, we lift our hands to Thee. Behold them and have mercy. May not the inn of our minds be crowded with arrogance and cunning, so that love is turned away. Guide us to purpose and unity. We ask Thee who created one world, which these hands in greed have divided, to lead us now. Walk with us. If again Thou seest us lift these hands in anger, raise Thine own to stay them.

Possess us with gentleness as we contemplate Christmas Day. Grant our children the the rapture of wonder as they stand before the tree. May the thought of those who are cold and hungry incite us, not merely to pity, but to justice. These hands of mine are not raised in brief and casual gesture.They have no right to ask for what they are not willing to give. Take them, Lord of All, in Thine own. Dedicate them to the reality of PEACE ON EARTH, GOOD WILL TOWARD MEN.
