“For the nth time, when was Pangasinan founded?” was Mr. Gonz Duque’s modern day inquiry.

So your current article, Mr. Garcia, is flawed one must not zealously use your past and present editorials as a tool for their research. However, you have my utmost respect as an individual and publisher.

Now the questionability when Pangasinan was founded could be answered in the hands of archaeologist. They could start their dig at the mouth of the Agno River as Mr. Pontaoe pointed out where the Spanish expedition landed.

With Mr. Duque’s credence as an educator, journalist, lawyer, etc he could start inquiring around the world i.e. University of North Carolina, University of Chicago, The Fields Museum (Chicago) of Antiquities for help on how and where to start your search for adventurous diggers and how to fund the tedious endeavor.

Going to Spain and sift through dusty and moldy books in their maritime library is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Also, while searching for an answer in Spain, consider the old phrases and idiomatics the historians used at the time compared to today’s modern day Spanish dialect.

In short, if you want to go on a frustrating vacation might as well spend it at home where you could at least eat saluyot, pinakbet, puto, and so on and much cheaper. Have fun and at the same time get your hands dirty looking for the beginning of Pangasinan.
