What Pangalatok means

Dear Mr. Tom de la Cruz,
People from Pangasinan are called Pangasinenses. They are not to be called Pangalatok or Pangalatot or pangalato.
Pangalatok is derogatory and offensive word. It means “Pangasinense Sira toktok”. Their dialect is Pangasinan and not Pangalatok or Pangalatot or Pangalatit or pangalatik.
I just attended last week the Fil-Am Association of greater Long Beach, California dinner dance at the Holiday inn in long beach. All the speakers used the word Pangasinense and their souvenir program used Pangasinense. I am so so proud of them.
