Proud to be Pangasinense

Mr. Mendoza,
Just like your friend, Mr. Renato Valdez, I read your column in the Sunday Punch every weekend through the internet. In fact I have been reading your column in the PDI since I was a teenager (even up to now). It is a wonderful treat to read your articles (especially if you include something about our home province in PDI.
I, myself am a proud Pangasinense who has not forgotten his roots. Every time I have a chance to speak Pangasinan, I do it even though it has become more “pikewet” from lack of practice.
I commend you for being a positive role model and a good example for Pangalatoks (and Mangatarem-ians) around the world.
FYI, I am from Dagupan city, now based in Bourbonnais, Illinois. Good luck and God Speed.
