A culture gone berserk?

This latest revelation on the AWAI property purchase encompassing MetroState/Magsaysay Park enterprising mess is more proof there are rascals openly looting the country without fear of accountability.
Is this an example of doing what the national leadership code of conduct is, or is it simply – a culture going berserk? Better still, are we Filipinos willing to demand accountability from elected officials, or have we totally resigned ourselves to swallow their scam spree?
There is a time every one of us facing such dilemma must be able to stand up to tell officials their diadem of dishonesty must come to an end. We must muster the courage to say enough is enough, dishonesty will no longer be condone and must be eradicated from society once and for all.
Our system of government has been perverted by individuals motivated by a desire enriching themselves at the expense of a citizenry wallowing in despair, degradation and hunger.
This out of control machinery has got to go if we Filipinos still dream of living in a country where there is hope and a future. There must be some principled and courageous corps members left in the PNP and AFP who do not subscribe blindly to what their hierarchy describe as ‘respecting the chain of command’.
Once the chain of command becomes dishonest, it is one that needs to be replaced. It is a misnomer and should not carry the day for those who honestly believe theirs is a duty to protect the people and country.
To do otherwise and continue respecting a corrupted command who steal from the people, rape the constitution with impunity and offering no hope for a people longing for self respect, it no longer deserves the trust of the people. Their image will be no better than an animal that bites the hand that feeds it.
