Jazy, Hafa Adai & Mabuhay! Being a Fil-Am I identify myself with Pinoys engaged in sports in the US or when I am out of the country. Just like the disappointment with Boomboom Bautista’s loss, we “barkadas” felt the pain.

If you ever do a tour or with your team in the East Coast, Philadelphia has a cycle tour that challenges the worldwide pros called the Manayunk Wall. It’s a 17 degree incline climb. The prize money last year just for top points for the Wall is $3,000. This is beside the overall winner’s prize of the Commerce Bank’s Triple Crown.

More than the money though you would have lifted the “Pinoy’s here” who follow not only cycling but Pinoys as you get cheered on the streets from Philadelphia PA. to Trenton NJ and around the valley. The acclaim here, win or lose, you’ll still get the ringing mabuhay noypi.

So will we see you next June? Congratulation on your wins and your team, you make us all proud!
