Proud to be an Olympian

Dear Mr. Eduardo Pontaoe,
I read your comment August 15 2007. Mr. Carmihael Besitan’s comment was just a happy comment to what he read from an article about his former classmate and friend during High School days.
I don’t need to take a truck load of steroids to race in Le tour de France. Just an FYI, I raced against those big guys at the 1992 Olympic Road Race in Barcelona, Spain and 2000 Olympic road race in Sydney, Australia.
I raced with top Le tour de France riders Lance Armstrong, Jan Ulrich and Alexandre Vinokorouv. And I have not been scrutinized by organizers. Racing in the Olympics and having been a two- time Olympian was a bigger honor for me than racing in Tour de France. Racing in Olympic Games is a WORDLWIDE event, but the Tour de France is a commercial race.
To race in Olympic Games, you’re considered one of the BEST in the world. Being a Filipino and having represented my country GUAM, was a big achievement for me.
