Playing with Fire
Ms. Mocha Uson in focus
By Gonzalo Duque
PRESIDENT Digong Duterte is getting all kinds of flak and, also, thank God, accolades!
What he is doing is cornering all the goods, contracts, deals, loans from every corner of the world, including if not especially, socialist countries.
Just like what happened in China recently. After his state visit he came home with P24-B in a concrete package of grants and soft loans. That will soon be used by his government for gargantuan development projects. This means a revolutionary upsurge in transport, water, infra, agri and other development projects in Pinoy land!
Di pa ba kayo natutuwa niyan?
We need as many jobs as possible… so, as Digong envisions, hindi na mag-iibang bansa ang mga kabayan natin para maghanap ng datung. Dito lang sa bayan natin, ok na ang trabaho. It won’t be long when we’d already.
We shall in time become self–sufficient, thank you, Pangulong Digong.
Di ba ganyan ang dapat, ang uunlad ang ating bansa?
In President Duterte’s development strategy, inaayos muna ang peace and order. Tinumba muna ang droga!
After he would have put in place social justice… when the gap between the rich and poor is significantly narrowed, then the proverbial growth will ensue.
Ok, many of our American-infatuated countrymen are upset. Yes, they are colonial-minded. They don’t realize there is an existing imbalance in our relationship with the U.S.A. It’s a case of un-requited love.
Ha?? Parang nagmamadali si Digong na iangat ang Pinas?
But, of course, kasi ang tagal na nating pinagtaksilan ng panahon e. At itong Middle East OFW mindset… Mawawala na rin yan. There are no more jobs there anymore. The Middle East is now the most troubled place in the world.
For your info, we have a migrant workers law which mandates our government to ensure jobs in our country. The overseas job should only be second option. Ang priority ay self reliance.

While writing this column, we heard that Dr. Ester Uson, wife of our late friend, Judge Gary Uson, was just appointed DOH undersecretary.
She is the beloved mother of our baptism god daughter, new celebrity Mocha.
You must have an idea how things like this happened?
Speaking of Mocha who has 4 million following in social media, we liken her to a publican, and her critics, the pharishes. All the pharishes do is pray, displaying their piety and religiosity everywhere!
They are self righteous, while publican goes about his/her life just doing good, just living and letting others live.
Sino kaya ang mahal ng Diyos sa palagay nyo? Do you know the story of Mary Magdalene? We liken Mocha to that great Christ apostle!

NOTES: Our sincere condolences and prayers to Raffy and Toti Baraan and the entire Baraan family for the demise of their father Francis Baraan.
He was 84.
A trusted ally of then former Gov. Aguedo F. Agbayani, Francis was the epitome of a fine gentleman and dedicated Pangasinense development technocrat and political leader.
May he rest in peace!

Some 20 years or so ago, we Gary Uson, Jun Velasco and this columnist were observing then teenager Mocha play at the Uson compound on Amado Street.
Little did we realize that the cute pretty girl would some day become a celebrity, starting as the leader of the Mocha girls who excelled in the entertainment world in so short a time. Oh, yes, they were scantily dressed, raising howls among the conservative women.
But they were only doing entertainment, walang hanky panky…
During the last national elections, Mocha threw her lot with Digong’s presidential bid.
She rallied friends and millions of Filipinos here and abroad behind Digong, and what a great success she has made.
We understand that she is consulted by Digong on social media matters.
Ok ka, Mocha, mabuhay ka!
