THAT’S a good one we read in a Manila paper about Cong. Spines seeing the President to clear his name in the drug issue.
You know, one’s name is the most precious property we have.

It seems there’s something special in what’s happening to our province lately.
A lot of people have raised eyebrows when such stellar names like former Governor and now Rep. Spines, Congressman – or Mayor Boying Celeste – Board Member Raul Sison; and brothers Raffy and Toti Baraan are being played up in the headlines on the prohibited drugs issue.
We’ve been saying that Pangasinan is a chosen province of God. There must be in this shake-up an important, inner message.
As we often say, God shakes those he loves.
Let’s ponder this well, and let the truth and fairness prevail. We hope and pray our good friends are avail to acquit themselves from this predicament.

Please don’t forget that in the 90’s when we were still vice governor, we sired an idea – the putting up of a drug rehab center in Burgos town.
Don’t know why why the great idea did not see reality.
We should have been one of the first to tame the times.
We hope those in the political saddle will pick up the idea – to realize it.. or if not see a rehab center, a center for youth offenders. We pray the Burgos project would see its fruition soon.

On the 17th Anniversary of our Rotary Club of Uptown Dagupan, we remember the stout souls who chartered it – or saw its beginnings.
At random, we say thank you to Razzle Coquia, Marietta Sorio, the late Lucy Honrado, Belen Montessa, Marina Abella, Edna Gonzales, Lily Yuchongtian, Emma Torio, former Councilor Dada Reyna, former IBP President Atos Bautista, Atty. Rebene Carrera, Edwin Cancino, Joy Bautista, Laarni Parajo, who else pa kaya?
Ay, oo nga pala, Mayor Belen Fernandez.
Our mayor was not a charter member – but she is very supportive, more than a member.
Hmmm.. we hope to see the day the club need not import a certain Ashok Vasandani if it runs out of presidential material.
We were asked about our role in the Rotary Club.
Well, we’d prefer to bask in the glory of its after glow.

There’s a university which prides itself to be No.1 in Nursing in the North.
We believe, in all humility, it should be LNU now for scoring 92% passing performance over UPANG is 91%.
