Why Belen almost lost?

TV and print news accounts are lately showing that some policemen are showing their “gilas” (expertise) by raiding drug centers and getting away with millions of hush money.

We all have seen on TV a cop displaying a huge pile of millions in cash. Nakaw ito, pre!

In Cavite, more cops were found positive marketing shabu.

These are happening lately under the nose of the advent of our new leader. Presumptive President Digong said ipadala raw sa Sulu ang nahuling pulis at isama sa mga pupulbusin kasama ng mga terorista.

Just to reiterate Digong’s vow: he will finish them off. Just watch!

Haah, walang economic plan?

Masyado naman kayong adelantado!

President Digong has a well-crafted economic plan, of course!

But, huwag nating unahan.

Nililinis muna ang kapaligiran, the crime wave, illegal drugs! Dapat mawala muna ang mga ito.

And corruption. Dapat hindi ipagwalang bahala ang problema sa LRT, MRT and the railroad program going to La Union.

He needs to tackle first mounting electric bills the hoi polio could not reach! Rising cost of power! Etcetera….

We’re happy to have met a scientist from Pozorrubio, Pangasinan – Engr. Jaime Imbac – who has found a substitute for the expensive and highly pollutant coal. Sana our new government would find a way to allure Imbac’s invention to mobilize our economy.

He is fighting the Roman Catholic Church?

Well, they started the “war!” Sana hindi sila nakisawsaw sa pulitika! The RC is badly politicized. The INC is better behaved it seems.

Our RC friends including Bishop Soc Villegas used everything to block his electoral victory. They failed.

Truth to tell, in spite of their power and influence, why has the Roman Catholic Church not done anything to combat drug addiction?

They are also torpedoing his stand favoring the return of the death penalty sine qua non to improving the reign of peace in the land!

Kaya yon, hindi bilib si Digong sa kanila!

Amor con amor cipaga!

In Dagupan, maalingasngas pa rin ang much talked about hairline victory of Mayor Belen Fernandez vs. Celia Lim in the last polls.

It should not be. Since time immemorial the fight between Belen and BSL was won by a hairline. Talagang close. It’s the INC endorsement that spells the difference. That group has 5,000 votes in Dagupan!

Now, why are we on this?

We want to give space to our friend Jun V’s analysis, which could be an eye-opener: “The Lim camp should be thankful Celia withdrew!

Otherwise, Belen would have unleashed her powerful, well-oiled machinery, superior logistics that couldn’t be matched by anyone in Dagupan. Had that happened, a juggernaut would have happened and no one in the opposition, including No. 2 man Chito Samson including vice mayoral bet Brian Lim would have made it!

What happened was, Belen did not work or spend! At walang pakurong (superior diyan si Belen), dito nagalit ang mga botante, who voted Celia in protest!

Chito came up No. 2 because the guy paid the price for a hard-earned victory! But had the P200 m machinery of Belen gone to work against Celia’s meager kitty, baka paktay lahat!

Celia’s withdrawal was a master stroke. It saved Brian and the opposition.

We agree with Jun.
