Governor Spines, new political godfather

Gonz Duque

MANY are asking what cabinet position will we ask President-elect Digong Duterte whom we supported all the way.

Our reply, be careful with what you ask, it may result in your perdition.

Honestly, we don’t expect any reward. It’s enough that we helped install a good leader. Just like many of you, we want our families to be safe from crime especially drug addicts.

The anti-drug crime message became his main vehicle for the presidency. As we often say, nothing good will happen if there is crime and lawlessness.

No other candidate for president pushed for that advocacy with utmost sincerity than Digong.

He was not only strong. His opponents were weak, Pnoy showed this when he fielded in 2 candidates for president, Mar Roxas and Grace Poe.

Hindi daang matuwid, daang baluktot yon.

Readers Teresita Poliquit and Windy Egarote of Perez optical clinic said “we voted for Duterte kasi totoong tao.”

Results of elections for governor, congressman and mayors showed triumphant victories of Governor Espino’s candidates: son Pogi who clobbered Mark Cojuangco, the guv himself who beat Kimi Cojuangco with a nightmarish margin, and 2 other family members, son Jumel who beat comebacking Mayor Ric Orduna, and brother Deo, re-electionist mayor of Bautista.

The one responsible for all these is Guv Spines. Blowout ka la pare.

Someone asked, whom did Spines vote for president? Well, days before May 9, Spines called us up to go to Urduja along with Jun Esperon. That meeting resulted in a phone conversation between Spines and Digong. Need we say more?

On the Dagupan front, this columnist was asked by residents of Tondaligan Blue Beach Subdivision in Bonuan Gueset about installing connection with DAWASA.

We saw a problem. Their homeowners association is already dysfunctional.

We were told some residents complained against the building being a 3-story school. For a while, the ongoing construction stopped. The HLURB and the city engineering must have stepped into the picture.

A couple of weeks ago, the construction was renewed. This column was told the building under construction changed its application from school to residential. That simple?

We shall visit the subdivision anytime soon to hold consultation with the homeowners.

What we saw in our last visit was a high building beside a 3-story school owned by former priest, Fr. Bulosan who also owns the new 3-story building.

Our partner Dale Cabrera in the Duterte advisory group is eager to join us in our next meeting with the homeowners. Dale also noticed the ongoing construction of what looks like a school but lately being bruited about as a residence. Ang laking bahay ito pag nagkataon!
