Digong Duterte invades Pangasinan anew!
By Atty. Gonzalo Duque
THE winning team – Digong Duterte and Alan Peter Cayetano – took Pangasinan and Dagupan City by storm last Wednesday.
People from all walks of life came to receive them like conquering heroes.
The adults and young wore their wildest smiles, applauded lustily when Digong shook their hands and spoke with his characteristic “brusque and brutal” manner.
What’s surprising was they just loved it, his “p…. mo…,” they know that they were mere expressions, not pagmumura.
The impression, the perception, the feeling of those who received the duo were the same – sigurado nang panalo!
At the Provincial Capitol where he called on Guv’nor Espino, the entire humanity came to felicitate Duterte.
Nag usap nang medyo matagal ang dalawa – sina Digong at Spines. No pronouncement was issued by our friend Butch Velasco.
But TV networks caught them all smiles. May pinagkasunduan siguro, ano?
At our Lyceum Northwestern University, the gym overflowed almost covering the whole campus grounds.
And his every word and swing at his opponents was met with thunderous applause.
We thought we were inaugurating the advent of a new Philippine leader – and bagay naman. We’ve never seen so much adulation from the public. Paano matatalo yan – halos lahat nagbubunyi.
Even those in his entourage were surprised at his drawing power. Sina Jun Esperon, Cynthia Esguerra, Raul Lambino, Arthel Caronongan, Lyn Ang, Dante Liban, Gen. Diony Santiago ay takang-taka sa papularidad ni Digong.
But if you ask us, we are not surprised.
We’d be surprised if they won’t join Digong.
Here’s why.
Our friend, Ramon Soledad, uncle of the beautiful Shalani Soledad-Romulo, said it perfectly.
Digong, he said, came as a savior of a country that is about to sink. As you know, our nation, which is already divided, is dying due to poverty and worse, criminality. Itong illicit drugs, unti-unting kinikitil ang buhay ng ating mga young generation. Wala nang future.
Mabuti na lang at may nag-interest na ma-gtaguyod ng ating bansa.
Digong will save the nation.
Please support him for your and our sakes.

On the local front, the gubernatorial race is a see-saw, with Espino enjoying a slight edge because of name recall.
Let’s face it. The hoi polio, the masa are more knowledgeable of Espino than Cojuangco. What?
Money will decide the race?
Ano ba kayo? Patas lang, di ba?
There’s talk, Mark got the mayors, but Pogi got the Kapitans.
Sino ang panalo?
Finally, in Lingayen, Sonny Versoza has zoomed forward, unlike in the last months. Statistical tie sila Iday Castaneda and Nepthalie Pasiliao.
We’re glad, kumare Celia Lim has put out her tarps.
May kalaban pala si Mayor Belen. May the best woman win.
It’s one-sided in Bayambang for CTQ.
In San Carlos City, it’s Beebong Soriano vs. Bogs Resuello. The winning edge is slim.
