The best president PH never had!

WE accompanied reelectionist Mayor Belen Fernandez file her certificate of candidacy last Wednesday at the Comelec.
And so, pasencya na Pare Jun V at Atchi Mita Duque to miss your Breakfast Club forum.
We heard our friend, former Finance Usec Jovy Bengzon, brod Cesar’s chief of staff, was guest speaker. Magaling na teknokrat yan!
A close friend and confidant of Mar Roxas, Jovy must have campaigned for Mar in that forum. But, according to our informant, he talked more about our country’s economic issues and how they could be upgraded under a Roxas presidency.
Back to BTF, who, it appears, is running for reelection with a shining record of performance. Kala natin earlier unopposed.
Dapat lang, di ba?
She did exceptionally well, she deserves to win again –and again!
She was with former Mayor Al Fernandez when she filed her CoC. That completely dashed to smithereens the rumor that Al is running for mayor again.
You know, in our book, Al is a man of high intelligence, wisdom he won’t do a thing like slamming Mayor Belen, who had been his vice mayor for years.
That should silence the tsismis na sa palagay nation ay galing yon sa tatlong “intriguers” who kept saying na kakandidato si political guru Al.
At this point, we are irked by certain people who love to ride on two bancas.
Namamangka sa dalawang ilog… Ano kaya ang dapat pag-trato sa mga ito?
Maybe a simple advice would suffice —“alis diyan!”
Let’s ponder what Mahatma Gandhi said, “A nation is ruined by politics without principles.”
We thank Mayor Belen for offering our son, Nanoy, manager of Aksyon Radyo, a slot in her council slate.
We had to beg off for our son because Belen is under the Liberal Party of Mar Roxas, while we are rooting for Mayor Rody Duterte.

On Friday, Oct. 15, the mother and son team of Celia and Brian Lim filed their COC’s. This is great for Dagupan democracy.
Who was the know-it-all who was bragging that anyone who will run against Mayor Belen is a sure mayor?
Maraming lunatic talaga awa?
What we could say about kumadre Celia’s and Brian’s filing their COC’s is good luck, may the best man or woman win!
All for the best of Dagupan!!!

Thursday evening, the nation was surprised by our friend Mayor Rody Duterte’s act.
Consistent siya after all. He was very specific about not running for president… even amidst clamor everywhere, he made his decision with finality – a reelectionist mayor of Davao City.
Rody could not turn his back on his beloved daughter Sara talaga!
Know what, there is a message in his decision. He wants to be his own man. If in his soulful analysis, it’s the mayorship of Davao City that would make him most effective as a leader, let’s give it to him.
In our advocacy as educator, we find his super popularity as a clear message from our people of the kind of president they want – one who fights criminality, especially the drugs issue, graft and corruption, poverty, overconcentration of power in Imperial Manila.. dapat isantabi natin ang pagiging atat na atat tayo sa isang lider. We might be in love with love… the idea, the personification of our ideal of a leader.
In that sense, Rody has done his mission… to define the kind of leader that fits our nation’s needs.
His person can’t do it. Sino kaya sa mga kandidato and tutugma sa ideya ni Rody?
The quest begins.

Hep! Huag tayong pabigla bigla! These guys and gals who trooped to the Comelec to file their CoCs for president, may be some or many of them, are crackpots!
You can say that again, fellas!
But in a deeper sense, they are making a strong, valid, and timely statement or warning for all of us to ponder.
They are, in effect, saying magkita-kita na lang sa cuckoo’s nest, mga katulad nating baliw!
Circus din lang itong political exercise, eh di, as the talibans would say, happy days are here again!
Mantakin niyo. May mga nag gra-grandstanding na kunyari out of delikadeza ay nagwidrow sa senatorial race dahil sa isyong pambababastos…e, pagkaraan ng ilang araw, nag-file ng CoC as an independent bet for senator!
May pag-asa naman ang Tolentolen na ito? Mayroon!
Di ba, circus ito, mga igan?
We are laughing at these nuisance candidates. But they too are laughing at us!
Mantatapisan tila, mga agagui, at agago!
Ha-ha-ha!
