One time, big time

BEBOT-VILLAR

By Bebot Villar

DUE to super Typhoon Lando, we had to postpone the conduct of the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) 2-week seminar for police officers in Pangasinan. Our police participants had been alerted to assist in the disaster management and rescue operations in the province.

However, the campaign against illegal drugs was not interrupted. Amid strong winds and heavy rains, the Dagupan City Police Station’s Anti-Illegal Drug Operatives arrested one suspected pusher.

Congratulations to Col. Christopher Abrahano and his men! Keep up the good works!

As I was writing this column, I received good news from our PDEA Director General and Dagupan City Chief of Police that there were six (6) search warrants simultaneously served in Barangay Bonuan Binloc in Dagupan City.

Very good news talaga ito.

Finally, seventeen (17) drug personalities including a suspected drug syndicate members and its leader were arrested. Seized were some 300 gms of shabu, six (6) undocumented motorcycles and P111,000.00 drug money from the 6 target houses.

This is a big accomplishment that resulted from collaborative efforts among our law enforcement units. Nagsama-sama ang Dagupan City Police Station, PRO1; Pangasinan PPO; Nargroup Dagupan; CIDG; PDEA; LTO; Naval Intel; RIU; PCG at AFP sa operasyon na ito sa Sitio Silungan, Bonuan Binloc. ONE TIME, BIG TIME!

Kudos!

We received a naughty text message about super Typhoon Lando.

On our part, we never get tired reminding our people to be wiser because our votes will have impact on our future. Pag napili ninyo na at na-PCOS na, ‘yun na yun! Wala nang bawian! It cannot be undone.

Gusto ninyo ba ‘yun??

We cannot be just plain observers when it comes to choosing our national and local leaders. We must assess the character and accomplishments of the candidates! That is our duty as citizens of our country.

We have to be more discerning in selecting who to vote for.

Please be reminded that the deadline for biometric registration is on October 31, 2015. I understand, more than 80,000 voters in Pangasinan are not yet biometric-registered! Please take time to go out and go to your nearest local Comelec office.

Please bear in mind that voting is your right of suffrage and duty as a Filipino but it is not one that can be exercised any day.

Sayang naman po ang pagkakataon kung palalampasin! Anyway, this is free. If you don’t register this year, borado na ang pangalan niyo as voters.
