Sulong Zambales vs ‘Farah Dagupan!’

WE said so.

Mayor Rodty Duterte for Malacanang in 2016 and onwards.

As we wrote this on Friday, Punch deadline, the SWS reported the following acceptability ratings: Binay – hmm, despite the corruption issues – remains on top with 31%; Grace Poe, 30%; Mar Roxas and Rody Duterte, 15% (tie), Erap, 11%, and Miriam, 9%.

What’s the significance of these ratings? It’s Duterte and Poe consistently on the rise!

But in light of the need of the times, a leader to tame the south, it’s Duterte’s time, isn’t it?

We agree, Filipinos are attracted to leaders who feed their fantasies. This explains the Erap, FPJ, Lito Lapid phenomenon in politics.

In the case of Duterte, he needs no people fantasies. He gives truth, raw courage versus the lawless. He walks the talk, as we say it.

He gives common sense solutions.

We read in Ermin’s column about an 11-year old kid being used as a drug courier. Siyempre kung bata, the authorities would take things lightly. But, please naman – huwag naman ginagamit ng mga pushers yan! And to think that yong bata anak ng Muslim ata!

At this point, we read in Jun Velasco’s column that General Gani Neris, PNP director in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), has scheduled a meeting with Pangasinan Muslims anytime soon. We wish to sit with Gani, who was Pangasinan Provincial Director in 2007 to 2009, for a possible integration of our Dagupan Police advisory work since it is given that many illegal drug issues in Dagupan are linked with some Muslims. We Hope Provincial Director Rey Biay and Dagupan Police Chief Chris Abrahano will see the wisdom of this proposal.

Why are we so hot on peace and order? Obvious! We can’t have good governance without a climate of peace and order in the community.

Sana ma pick-up ni City Administrator Farah Decano ito. We wish to remind her that it’s already 3 times that our proposed Peace and Order Summit workshop has been proposed – from April 8, then April 11, then April 22. Ano ba ito, Farah. Ok, we give way to Bangusan, land use plan, disaster mitigation, ano pa?

Do you mean, Farah, that peace and order should take the back seat?

Pina-Farah mo ata ang pag-sulong ng peace and order program ng Dagupan ha?

Meantime, pls. consider seriously our plan to resign as chairman of the city peace and order council. Puwera biro iyon. Wala tayong pina-Farah sa decision na yan.

We’ve received text and cellphone calls asking where they could get a copy of the book, “Pinablin Dalin.”

Please contact Ms. Malou Elduayan, executive director of the province’s tourism office and the Pangasinan Historical and Cultural Commission.

On our table, we see a brochure sent by Gov. Jun Ebdane with this title “Sulong Zambales!”

Hmmm…. In our case in Dagupan, “Farah Dagupan!”

No offense meant ha?

Back to our new Pangasinan history book. We believe it should be integrated into our education curriculum. Just like the first magnum opus written by Rosario Cortes. The book is intended not only to be read but to be lived.

Thank you, Senator Peter Cayetano for taking a hand in our complaint against the DPWH ignoring the Water District’s piping program resulting in wasteful damages.

Salamat po, Senator Cayetano.
