Shun politics during Holy week!
By Gonzalo Duque
DURING the Holy Week, we were kept busy viewing religious and spiritual movies at home. Which was just as well; it was fun and rewarding.
One of these is “Son of God.” It’s a great film, we ask you to buy a DVD copy at once.
It showed a clash between Christianity in form and Christianity in substance.
You all know who the Christians in form are, don’t you? Ito yong mga so-called Kristiyano na ma-porma, yong mga Kristiyano only in the outside, not inside. Jesus Christ has a word for them, “hypocrites.”
Ay, naku, mas delicado kagagawa ya, brothers and sisters.
You can be sure yong mga ganyang Kristiyano hindi papunta sa kingdom of God…Silay papunta na kung saan ay hindi magandang pag-usapan.

We wish to condole with the family of former Lingayen Councilor Mory Sison, younger brother of our sister-in-law Mita Sison-Duque.
Mory would have turned 70 in August.
Mory was a brilliant, articulate leader.
The last time we heard about him was he was a director of Philpost. He was the older brother of former Board Member Bobby Sison and a stalwart of the Liberal Party.
May he rest in peace, and condolence to the family.
Parami nang parami nang parami ang mga namamatay.
Ha?? Sign of the times? Hindi naman!
It just goes to show that time is really a-changing. Sabi nga ng Ecclesiastes, “There’s a time to be born…a time to die…” and so on.
And so our take on this, is follow Bishop Socrates Villegas’ advice—don’t just go to church, go to your conscience, go to silence, go to God…and find yourself, your true self, your spiritual self there.

Hindi natin mahabaan ang column natin ngayon. Kaka-submit lang natin nung isang lingo ng kolum, nag text uli si Ermin na deadline na naman.
Hmm. Ganito talaga ang media.
Ay, yes, no politics, no worldly activity this week.
Mas mainam ang mag-meditate, maging Godly tayo.
Happy Lenten week!
