Mayors missing in war vs. illegal drugs

I love my own… that’s why I love Pangasinan, ang aking probinsyang sinilangan. I feel bad whenever I hear of drug-related stories involving and victimizing our youth.  How can they be the future of our nation if they are hooked on drugs?

The drug syndicates are now more powerful than our law enforcers because they not only have huge resources and high-tech equipment but they have proper connections!

According to reports, considered hot spots na rin ang Umingan and Tayug (in addition to Urdaneta, ang consistent sa list of drug-affected areas in Pangasinan). Last January 10, a suspected drug pusher died during a buy-bust operation conducted by Dagupan police when the suspect drew his firearm and aimed at the policeman/poseur buyer.

Speaking of Dagupan, I am happy to know that PNP Dagupan is continuously and seriously doing its best in the campaign against illegal drugs.  Maganda kasi ang partnership ni Mayor Belen Fernandez at Chief of Police Abrahano.  Both are dedicated public servants at gusto talagang makatulong.  I wish there are more who can establish the same kind of partnership for a better public service.

How about the other mayors? I didn’t hear anything from them at all kahit from the “Liga!” Sana magkaisa ang mga LGUs ng Pangasinan finally to establish a united front in this advocacy.  We are talking real public service here.  Walang malisya, walang politika.  Ang mapikon, guilty.

The provincial government may have its anti-drug activities but it’s not enough to create an impact in the whole province.  So I am happy to learn that last Wednesday PS/Supt. Sterling Blanco has been assigned as the new OIC-provincial  director.

Good luck, Col. Blanco!  I hope you can do your best to help stop the rampant drug problem in our province. This early, I advise you to coordinate with PDEA so you can help each other.

Recent arrests involved people suspected to be members of this cartel. Very alarming na talaga!

Kaya congratulations to the National Bureau of Investigation! Last Wednesday they seized more than 100M worth of cocaine and shabu in a drug laboratory located in the parking area of a condominium in Taguig City.  Ayon sa report, meron din flavored finished product of mixed cocaine & shabu, meaning, level-up na rin ang drug manufacturing!  They are suspected to be connected sa Mexican drug cartel.

Imagine, parking area of a condominium converted into a drug lab? Wala bang nakapansin nun? Parang mahiwaga yata! Well, what is important is that, another lab was stopped from manufacturing illegal drugs!

Philippines has the longest coast line in the world and it would be impossible for our Coast Guard o ng Bureau of Custom na bantayan nila ang kahabaan nito! Perhaps puwedeng nababantayan but knowing how money talks and how it can create  “magic,” mayrong pinalulusot.

Foreigners will not dare enter our seaports and airports and smuggle illegal drugs if they do not have “established connection” here in our country. And who are those “special” connections that give them protection?

Simplest example is in the barangay level. Alam natin yan!

How true is the latest talk about the Agno River flood control? Is it true na pag ka-puso, ka-pamilya o ka-kampi ay bayad agad?? At pag di ka-panalig ay installment basis??? Ano kayo, sipsip?

Naku ha! PNoy will not be happy to know this story. Why not just work hard and do good? Is it really difficult to do good deeds nowadays?
