Named “Jacobo,” the restaurant serves the yummiest food in town. It is owned and managed by former Councilor Gary Rayos.

Up to now, we continue to receive glowing feedback from the recently held PRISAA games, mostly in praise of its success, yes, in spite of a few glitzes which we humbly acknowledge with gratitude, having been expressed with sincerity and hope for better played games in the future.
We, of course, thank the coaches and the players from all over the islands, who came and made it a success.
It was a rosy advertisement of the province, the leadership of Governor Spines who in spite of the harm brought about by partisan politics managed to pull himself through, with aplomb.
Hep, don’t say naman that we are a Spines’ pawn. We’re always supportive, cooperative, and helpful to the kindness and the professionalism that he showed, not only at PRISAA, not only at our History and Cultural Commission, but in all that we have done together for the benefit of the province.
We are always a good soldier.

The head of Percy Della’s column last Thursday had the head, “Gonzalo Duque: RH law and PRISAA.” Agaylay karakkel na nantext ed sicatayo, to congratulate us, some wondered if we were going back to politics.

We thank the whole media establishment that gave the games a blow-by-blow coverage.

Our province was elated with the silver we got. It’s a hard-earned and well-deserved award. The whole region was happy; and yes, the whole nation, too, because we put up a very good fight. To us at LNU, we felt knighted with the achievement, because it was term that carried the flag.
In our moment of rejoicing however, there was a pathetic groan from an incorrigibly malicious broadcaster who in a desperate effort to please the new hand that feeds him went too far as to twist and distort the report to downgrade and belittle the region’s well-earned victory.
We’ve shrugged it off, but responsible souls have advised us to sue to protect not only our right, but also the public’s and the truth’s, because a wrong and malicious report especially made by one who was not even on the scene should not be allowed to go unchecked and un-rebuked.
All this in pursuance of correct and truthful journalism and the public interest.

Ahem… our LNU Physical Therapy examinees scored 60 percent passing, with an alumna landing No. 9 in the Top Ten.
Her name is April Rose Tirao Desola. Salamat ed impantalunngaring tan impangibanderam mo na LNU, Ms. De Sola. Walay reward mod siak tan inararom ya eskwelaan.
We also want to thank the LNU student government, the student body, the faculty and the administration for making the university foundation day a slam-bang success.
