Drug-dealing in Urdaneta

By Bebot Villar
ALIGAGA ang ating mga provincial officials sa revelation ng PNP that Pangasinan is one of the 15 “high risk” areas in next year’s election.
Ayaw nilang matawag na “high risk” because for them, masama ang ibig sabihin nito. For them, it implies bad peace and order situation when it’s been peaceful and orderly naman ang mga past elections dito sa Pangasinan. I agree. Why the need to declare it now as “high risk”?
Because of history of violence? No regularity and sensational political killing was noted here except noong binaril si San Carlos City Mayor Jolly Resuello sa city plaza few weeks before the 2007 elections.
Could it be because of intense political rivalry between Gov. Amado Espino Jr. and Alaminos City Mayor Hernani Braganza? Sa palitan ng mga accusation, intense na nga ang word war! If so, I suspect unseen hands were responsible for such declaration. They submitted adverse reports to DILG Secretary Mar Roxas.
But on the other hand, some say mas OK na ito to ensure the election will proceed smoothly. More police and military personnel would be sent here to avert any possible outbreak of violence. This could be an effective way to neutralize any OPLAN ng isang kandidato na mang-gulo. Sa HOPE (honest, orderly, peaceful elections) at SAFE (secure and fair elections) lang in 2013 ang makakasigurong ang true will of the people will prevail.
Kung declared tayo as “high risk”, mababantayan tayo ng todo, ayaw ba natin nun? On the other hand, it gives the impression nga naman na magulo sa Pangasinan gaya ng ibang kasama sa listahan when in fact hindi naman.
Oh well, that’s politics! It’s all in the game!

Malakas ang bentahan, maski patingi-tingi lang, even in school campuses. Nakakapagtaka lang na walang takot ang mga pushers at talagang no fear! Why? Kasi protektado sila?
I don’t understand why nagpapaniwala pa ang ilang police at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency sa mga Memorandum of Agreement diumano sa mga grupo na laging nahuhulihan ng droga. Moro-moro lang yan. Inuuto lang silaI!
Ilang MOA na ba ang pinirmahan nila? I Ilang beses na rin ba silang nag-dialogue? How many times na silang nag-promise na magbabago sila but business as usual pa rin sila? May nag positive results ba? They are only wasting their time.
Isn’t it high time isunod mo naman silang linisin?
Mayor, I suggest ypu look into the activities of one councilor who is suspected a drug lord at baka yan ang makakasira sa administration mo!
